Reporting of climate finance under the UNFCCC

This brief presents an overview of the current state of play of the measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) elements existent under the UNFCCC and the provision set out by the Paris Agreement. The authors assess MRV efforts beyond the Convention from organisations and institutions such as the OECD, the Multilateral Development Banks and other actors, and provide recommendations for the comprehensive design of a transparent framework.
