The Paris Climate Agreement: An Initial Examination

This paper provides an initial examination of the legal structure and content of the Paris Agreement. After a brief overview of the negotiations leading to Paris, the author analyses the architecture of the Paris Agreement focusing on three main components: the goals; the action areas; and the implementation techniques.
