The Climate Ambition Support Alliance (CASA) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the CASA Knowledge Hub, how we use it, and your rights. 

CASA is funded by the UK Government's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). The CASA Knowledge Hub is maintained by DAI as part of its role in implementing the CASA project. DAI is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. 

What personal data we collect and how we use it
You can browse and use the CASA Knowledge Hub without providing your name or contact details.

If you use our Contact Us form, we collect your name, email address, and any personal information you choose to include in your message. Submissions are stored within the CASA website and can be accessed by authorised members of the DAI CASA project team. We use this information to manage and respond to your enquiry. 

We may also collect limited technical and usage information when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, and how you interact with the site. We use this information to operate and secure the website and understand how the Knowledge Hub is used. 

We do not use personal data collected through the CASA Knowledge Hub for mailing lists or marketing communications. 

We only process personal data where we have a valid lawful basis under applicable data protection law. 

Cookies and analytics
The CASA Knowledge Hub may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website to operate and to understand how visitors use it. Where required by law, non-essential cookies and analytics technologies will only be used with your consent.

Where service providers process personal data on our behalf, appropriate arrangements are used to protect that information. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by UK data protection law. 

Contact Us submissions are retained for 12 months and then deleted, unless there is a legitimate legal, contractual, or operational reason to retain particular information for longer. Other personal data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. 

Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights over your personal data. Depending on the circumstances, these may include rights to access, correct, or delete your information, restrict or object to its processing, or request its transfer. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

The CASA Knowledge Hub contains links to third-party websites and resources. This Privacy Policy applies only to the CASA Knowledge Hub, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. 

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, our use of personal data, or applicable legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
